Career Day by the State University of Management

On November 23, 2017 the staff of STEP Consulting took part in the Career Day of the State University of Management.

In addition to STEP Consulting, the trainings and jobs were offered by 24 more companies, such as VTB-Leasing, Rosgosstrakh, KPMG, E&Y, ANCOR, EVOLA, AIESEC, PWC, Kelly Services, Adidas, Domodedovo Airport, AB InBev, Vtorchermet-Nakhodka, Uniqlo, Teacher for Russia and others.

Inna Vlasova, the PR Director of STEP Consulting, says: “That’s always interesting to talk to the students of full-time departments. On one hand, they are mature adults and many of them are academically trained and know quite well ‘the science of management’ from their textbooks. On the other hand, being the typical students, they still posses very poor actual knowledge of real work, based on short practical training and book learning. Therefore, you have to select understandable examples, descriptions of companies' activities, look for synonyms for familiar words, while telling them about the specifics of the consultant's work. And certainly, drive and daring of the students are extremely prepossessing!”.

The participants in the meeting were interested not only in getting trainings and practices but also ready to start working in case they consider the job quite interesting.

All in all, more than 1000 participants from the first-year students to the graduates took part in the “Career Day by the State University of Management-2017”. The employees of STEP Consulting made the acquaintance of the representatives of student unions from various departments and with the University teaching staff.
